5 things....plus a giveaway

1.  My little baby will be 3 tomorrow. I. Still. Can't. Believe. It. I'm in complete denial. I kept thinking if I ignore it, he won't get any older.  So we'll be having a little shindig around these parts.

2.  Hard core crushing on these beauties. If only they were within budget, instead of living in outer space. Luuuurve.

3.  I know I was just talking about Vegas, but it was such a fantastic experience!!  Can't wait to take my gaggle hiking again.

4.  I've been changing some things up as usual around here. Some vignettes have been desperately neglected. If you follow me on Instagram, you already saw this little mantle update. It finally feels like its coming together. Just need to pick up some candle sticks.

5.  Beyond excited that Cheryl from http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk/ contacted me about giving one of my readers the chance at a $50 Amazon gift card.  http://www.appliancesonline.co.uk/ is responsible for some really jazzy appliances in addition to one of my favorite blogs- AO @ home.

Happy father's day to my Dad + JB!!!!

5 things....

1. Yesterday was Polar Express day at our house for Kage and his friends. Let me tell you, it was a blast!!! We wore pj's, drank hot chocolate, watched the movie twice and even made some ornaments.

2. JB's dad has been the biggest help ever when it comes to getting our new baseboard installed. I kid you not, I witnessed his surgeon like skills while tackling some of our ridiculous angles. Pure magic. And to top it off, he is also teaching Andre, who was beyond excited to help {mostly to use the nail gun}. Thank you Gpa!!!

3. I tried gel polish for the first time while in LA....I'm pretty sure it's not for me. I just can't commit to one polish longer than 3-5 days. Not to mention the grow out drove me nuts. So bad, that at approximately 8:30pm last night, I was googling how to remove it and was able to successfully get it off. Thank god. Joshy Bobby told me I looked like Edward scissor hands....

4. Trader joes...you are the best. These crackers were my go to snack this week...I may have eaten a whole box in one day.

5. Merry Christmas loves! From my family to yours. This is definitely the most magical time of the year. Take a moment to really let it sink in and enjoy. I'll be back sometime next week.

5 things...

1. Our biggest child turned 12 on Tuesday. I'm still in complete denial, even with his constant reminders of: "one more year until I'm 13!!!!" We surprised him with a party at a place near us, they played laser tag, ate pizza and cupcakes and a million video games. That was followed up with s'mores at home and some good old fashion BB gun shooting {yikes}. JB may have earned the title as coolest dad ever after his BB gun performance.

{his breakfast choice}

2. I was messaging with one of my fav girls, Ange, and she brought up that I haven't shown any progress on Kage's room #projectequestriannauticalvoyager. Good point....I haven't...mostly due to the fact this is what it looks like and its guarded by a pirate....however, the new rug is in and it's perfect.

3. The sunrise and sunsets have been so gorgeously romantical this week. Love sharing them with Joshy Bobby.

4. That's right loves...today is the day! LA here I come. My babe-a-licious girlfriend has planned an amazing weekend for us that will def make me missing my gaggle easier. You can follow along on Instagram.

5. This time of year is so magical. I love waking up to a lit up tree. If only we could incorporate one year round? Too much? Would it lose that magical feeling?

Have a fantastic weekend!!!

5 things....

Pinned Image

There is so much to be thankful for this month and every month. It's taken me much longer to get back into the swing of things....and we can't help but want to escape back to Cabo.

1. Our honeymoon wouldn't have been possible without Papa and Gma hanging out with our kiddos. I'm almost positive our kids didn't even miss us during all the spoiling that commenced.

2. Speaking of Cabo, I can't even begin to explain how much it opened my eyes to things. It was so nice to just slow down and really focus on enjoy every little piece of the day. We even woke up to watch the sunrise a few days. So far we are incorporating some of those same activities in our daily lives out home. One of those being a real date night last weekend, even though we were so tired and easily could have been in bed. I enjoyed every minute of prettying up for my husband, the Delish food+wine and the alone time.

3. This old lady had a birthday a week ago. Had a blast celebrating with family and friends. My girls really took care of me in the gift department with this fab bag I'd been drooling over.

4. Our oldest is in his second season of tackle football and can't get enough, even though it scares the crap out of me. The last 2 games, he's been QB. So proud of him!!!!

5. Halloweeeeeen! The kids had such a blast!!!

{I couldn't resist adding this one}

On a side note......I must have been living under a rock, I just now found out about Ebates....as an avid online shopper, I can't wait to spend those cash back checks!  So if you haven't yet, sign up here, you can't thank me later!

5 things....

The day has almost arrived!!! I can't believe it! Joshy Bobby and I leave on Monday for our honeymoon in Cabo! Somebody pinch me. I've never been.

{this is what I plan on looking like the whole trip}

1. Sometimes you just need a cupcake. This may or may not be what I had for bfast...

2. My dad and stepmom arrive tomorrow to hang with the kids while we're gone. Can't wait to spend some time with them.

{this pic is from 1.5 years ago, but I just love it!!!}

3. These words could not ring true any more for our gaggle this week. It's crazy. I know they love each other....and one day I'll miss them this age {arguments and all}, but geeeez.

{so I remind myself of this}

4. I can't believe my birthday is only 9 days away! Yikes!

5. It's moments like these, that I count my blessings and know I'm extremely lucky.

Have a fantastic weekend!!!

5 things...

I'm starting to feel like the weeks are just flying by, before we know it, my birth month will be upon us, then thanksgiving and Christmas!!!

1. You may remember me mentioning attending the Seahawks/Cards game on Sunday. It was a blast!!! We kicked the day off tailgating. Delish tacos courtesy of my hubby. So good to have my brother in town. I'm trying to tell myself he's not leaving tomorrow.

{yes, this is a 12th man flag cape}

He really did have fun, I promise.

2. In just a few days, Olivia will be 9 years old. Happy Birthday Livi Lou!!!  We love you!!!  This can't possibly be true, how did this happen so fast?! We celebrate tonight with her friends from school with another sleep over!!! Wish us luck!

3. Every now and then, it's nice to have a little mommy time. Even if it's just enough time to get a fresh coat of polish on and flip through a few pages of a new book. {cupcakes and cashmere}

4. Maddie and Andre thought it would be funny to start trying on all my jewelry. I had to snap this before they pretended to be embarrassed.

5. With football season for our oldest in full swing, we have been spending a few evenings a week at the park while he practices. The kids have been eating up all that time, even with it still hovering around 100. Yikes. Kage especially has fun playing basketball/soccer/football. I'm pretty sure he ran uncle Nyan ragged.

On a side note I just want to say how truly grateful I am for everything on our lives right now. Amazing family, friends and special moments. I would be lost without those things. Also, special thank you and a huge hug to my new and existing followers. Your comments and support is so encouraging.
