Happy Monday loves!!!  A girlfriend sent me this fab quote over the weekend and I fell in love with it.  It truly speaks to my soul at the moment, especially with a few life changing possibilities up in the air.  I'm trying to handle things with grace and a smile.  Sometimes easier said than done.  To clear my head, I worked on organizing and purging the pantry.  In chaos, I tend to attempt to control what I can.  The pantry was one of those things obvi.

Creative juices are flowing...

I am coming off a weekend high still.  I'm not sure how its possible, but every weekend gets better and better.  It might have something to do with me putting the to-do list to the side and focusing on fun activities instead.  Saturday we went out dancing...and let me tell you, I'm still feeling it.  I might be able to sleep 24 hours straight, but it was more than worth it.  How did you spend your weekend?

Can I seriously have Lauren's hair?  If I could trade with anyone, it would be her.  Here are a few tips to get that Lauren Conrad hair style:

First, part your hair slightly to the side.

Starting with the bottom layers, grab 1 to 2 inch pieces of hair, spray each piece with hairspray, then curl.

 Stop winding the hair around the iron a few inches from the root - you want to keep those semi-straight.

You may have to comb some of the curl out also.

Tools you will need:

I have to say this has been one of the best Mama's day  ever for me.  I am extremely thankful for Joshy Bobby and our children.  Kagey slept in a extra 30 minutes, the kids made me breakfast in bed and presented their fabulous homemade kids (future DIYers already...I'm so proud!), then it was off to the park for playing and a delish picnic.  Once we got home, swimming, or in my case, laying out.....then pedicures with my ecstatic daughters.  Now we're wrapping up the night with tacos!!  Yum.

Since this is "my day", I had to put some of my projects on hold...but here is a quick peek at the shelves in process:

One of my fondest memories of childhood, is May day.  What better way to spread cheer than to secretly give neighbors, family, loved ones; flowers?

This looks like the projects I used to do.....hang on the door knob, knock or ring the bell and run.  A simple cone shape and a little ribbon can go a long way.
