Gettin Crafty....agate box love

I stumbled upon this gorg agate box a few weeks ago....and have been dying to have one of my own since.  There was no way my pocket book was going for the price tag of $165 or $235 (seriously?).  So, I decided to attempt to make one for myself....I stopped by Michaels for a few supplies (box and agate) and got busy during snack time.

I'm not the only one that has a variety of spray paint on hand, right?

Got these beauties for just $3...booyah!! 

Started by spraying the bottom black.  BTW, I'm completely obsessed with black right now...I'm sure I'll start infusing it into each room in our home. 

I chose to spray the whole top gold...but now I'm wishing the did the sides black.... 

I can't believe how quickly I finished...not to mention for less than $5, have wannabe box I've been coveting!  I might redo this again with a different shaped wooden box.  Thinking an octagon or triangle maybe?

Tuesday at my home....DIY baby shower invitations

The past few days have been consumed with activities and celebrations {Congrats Joshy Bobby on the promotion!!!}  With all that was going on, I somehow managed to make my bff Marissa's baby shower invites....it helps having our gaggle of expert color-ers....Even though there was a time crunch to get them in the mail stat, I'm extremely happy with how they turned out.

Just in case you can't tell....its a baby stroller.

Supplies needed:

stock cards

scrap book paper or fabric

permanent marker

buttons

hot glue gun

glue stick

stamps

 I traced a candle base for the circle and cut a "pie" shape out of my liking.

Found these sweet stamps and Michael's....can't wait to use them again.  (Nerd)


I must say our gaggle did extremely well helping color.  So proud!!  Each invitation is just a little different and made with lots of love.  Cheeseball, I know.
