In honor of one of my very best friend's baby shower this weekend....

....for her second son, (and I couldn't be more excited for her!), it has me looking at nurseries!  I must say that I obsessed over them about a year ago in preparation for my son's arrival last June.  Here are a few of my favorite:

Baby P's Modern Nursery, A modern neutral nursery for baby P due to arrive in March 2010. This room is also our guestroom. Gotta love city living!, The view as you enter the room. , Nurseries Design

Baby P's Modern Nursery, A modern neutral nursery for baby P due to arrive in March 2010. This room is also our guestroom. Gotta love city living!, I spray painted a bunch of mismatched frames in shades of green. Middle elephant collage on veneer from petitcollage.com and birds on wood from amyruppel.com. Paper in other frames from Paper Source. , Nurseries Design

This is my absolute FAV room!  The Ikea futon is fabulous and doubles as a guest bed.  I love the whimsical flower decals, they can be purchased just about anywhere, Michael's, Amazon, or Etsy.  I stole the idea for the frames also....they are hanging in my sons room as I type.

Christopher's Nursery, Our baby's nursery has come a long way from start to finish. Although it was a painstaking process, mostly for my Dad who was faced with the challenge of uneven, un-level, floors and windows while he was trying to do all of the woodwork and mouldings, the end result was worth it. We love the room, it's bright, warm and cozy and a space that the baby can enjoy now and can grow with him as he grows. To see more of the baby's nursery, including before and after pics visit my blog http://sharpsfarm.blogspot.com/, This room was a truly a labor of love and a joint effort on the parts of many family members to put it together. Our little guy is really going to enjoy this room and we're really going to enjoy seeing him in it. , Nurseries Design

That iron crib is to die for!  I just can't get over how amazing it is.  How sweet is the little whale door stopper?  Flea markets...here I come!

Walker's Modern Owl Themed Nursery, For our son's nursery I wanted to create a fun, creative space that was warm and modern. I stumbled upon the wonderful bedding, fell in love, and the rest of the nursery took shape., Crib and changing table are both from Target's Dwell Studio. , Nurseries Design

I stumbled upon the wonderful bedding, fell in love, and the rest of the nursery took shape., Owl bedding is Litto Silly Owl Crib Set from ModernNursery.com, Gallery frames are from WestElm.com, Vinyl wall decal is from Willow Creek Signs on Etsy.com, the shelves are from Target, Nurseries Design

My fav bedding and a similar owl theme in my son's room, plus this is the crib and dresser we purchased from Target's Dwell Studio.  Looks like owls were extremely popular in 2010!

Hugh's Owl Inspired Nursery, I used Owl's as inspiration for Hugh's room and the feature of his room is the blue feature wall with the handpainted tree. I also incorporated paper owls that are blu-tacked onto the wall which fly into different positions. How adorable is the Target train set and vintage dresser?  How cute is the name Hugh?  I just love this calm crisp room.
