Tuesday at my home...

In addition to purging...like ridiculous amounts of purging and still sooooo much more to go, we snatched up this table and chairs set.  I know, curse these awful pics...they are from the CL post, as we haven't had a chance to snap a few yet.  I know what you're thinking...wasn't I just talking about collecting chairs to have a medley of mixed chairs...yes, yes I was/am.  Indecisive much?

Those of you that have been following, are well aware of my addition to bamboo furniture.  I've been dying to get my hands on some chairs for some time now.  These aren't exactly what I had in mind, but the price was right, and once I add this fabric that I found after Erin from Clementine and Olive {thanks doll} shared this fab fabric source.

Thinking bright shiny white and that charcoal fabric will make these the set I want.  That's the table base...in case you're wondering and it has a glass top.  Not dead set on it, but willing to give it a try, if not, I have another table in the garage on reserve.  Who does that?  This girl.

How's this for some perrrrfect inspiration?  swoon

Any one else in a frenzy like myself at the moment?  Just me?

Tuesday at my home

Short and sweet today (most days it feels like now, sorry about that!). Over the weekend I was able to stroll through GW briefly, but I'll take what I can get. I happened to stumble upon these fabulous vintage school chairs. At under $9 for 2, it was love at first sight. Kage also loves them. They dot quite have a hope specifically yet, but they are currently in our living room.

I came across this fabulous little elephant this past weekend at GW 50% off day (best ever)! It was once a teapot, that I plan on using as a vase.

It reminds me of the calypso teapots Target had a while back that I missed out on. Trying to decide what color to spray it. Thinking white, gold, Kelly green or aqua.....votes anyone? I'm a little tempted to leave it as is.

Hello 1983

I found this vintage book at GW this past weekend.  That's right....printed in 1983....the year of my birth.  for $1.50....I didn't hesitate to bring this sweet baby home.

Flipping through, I must admit I found many spaces I would LOVE to recreate in my own home.  I'm obsessed with bookshelves, so no surprise I can't get enough of the industrial/organic feel of the space below.

More delish bookshelves....and check out that spectac wall mounted lamp.  This pic makes me want to have shelving up to the ceiling with a neat industrial ladder to boot!

The couches somewhat scream 80s, but those side chairs scream to be put in my home.

I'm completely addicted to layering on flat surfaces....this coffee table in front of the fireplace will all their trinkets really fits the bill for me.  Not to mention they are 3 seperate tables lined up.

80's fabric all the way.  But if I could get my hands on some of those chairs for my dining table.....fresh coat of paint.....swoon!

Can you believe people had curtains like this in their home?  YIKES!  But that textured leather headboard with bamboo trim...hello gorgeous!!!!

Who doesn't LOVE a white kitch?  I want the chairs and table!!

My collection of coffee table books as it looks today...

Sometimes you just need a break.....

or I did at least from the painting mayhem known as our house.  And by mayhem, I mean, I have turned into the crazy painting lady.  Seriously.  I went from painting shelves that feel like they will never actually be done, to painting trim....why do I do this to myself?

So on Saturday, Joshy Bobby had to work, I was in the middle of my frenzy and realized I need to run a couple errands.  Thank god my children are well behaved, so off we went.  Since GW happened to be right by one of these said errands, I saw the 50% off sign and couldn't resist.  Yes, my name is Patience, and I'm addicted to GW....knowing is half the battle?  Anyway, as I was on my usual once over (I have to work my way through twice, just in case I miss any treasures, weirdo, I know), I came to the lighting section and saw these:

Yes, you read that tag right, $1.99+50% off.  What you might not be able to tell from the picture, they are cast iron and absolutely amazing!  To put things lightly, I fell hard, I was in love with 2 sconces.  The serendipitous part of it, is that I was having a hard time finding new lamps for our bedroom night stands, and not 4 days before mentioned to Joshy Bobby:  maybe we should think about sconces?  Boom, I found these babies and at a dollar a piece, I pretty much did the running man and the cabbage patch simultaneously.  Yes, I get that excited.  I'm tempted to leave them as is, once the space needs some freshening, I'll pull out some spray paint.

Then, whilst beaming about my sconces, I was stopped dead in my tracks by these 2.  I frantically took a pic, and sent them to Joshy for approval.  You see, we try to make most decisions together on items I bring that are brought home.  Mostly because I get a little excited when I find treasure at amazing prices.  At $6.50 total for 2 working lamps, he was easily talked into it.  Maybe he felt bad for not agreeing to the lamp I wanted to order for $250?  Ha ha, thank goodness he didn't.  Don't worry about the colors, I have huge spray paint plans for both of them....once I decide on a room they will be in.

Did you come across any sweet finds this weekend?

GW, you're my best friend!!!

Just thought I'd share some of my sweet finds with you....from 50% off day!!  Yes, I am a little late, I actually made these purchases on the 12th, but better late than never?  Give a girl a break...I've been freshening our kitchen.

I just couldn't pass up this silver candle stick...with just a little polishing, it will be fabulous!

For $1, I know I can put this to good use...was thinking maybe paper clips on my desk, safe place for rings and bracelets or for keys?

This 50 cent beauty was all mine the second I saw it.  I'm actually tempted to leave as is for now.

The first piece in my milk glass obsession:

These antique candy dishes reminded me of my great grandmother...always filled with delicious lemon drops.

I've always wanted one of these...and now I have one.  Not sure yet what this will be used for, but once I do, I'll be sure to share.

All of these sweet items came to a grand total of $10.82....

xoxo,

Patience
