Disappearing act

I've spent the last month reflecting on so much. I guess that tends to happen when you lose a loved one. With a heavy heart, I made a last minute trip in January to Washington to see my grandfather. At the time I was hoping and praying it wouldn't be the last time, but I couldn't shake the feeling I had.

He had a nasty spill one evening, thank goodness for my Aunt, she stayed at the hospital all night with my grandparents. There were many ups and downs the following 12 days. I can't tell you how thankful I am for being able to see him, and to be surrounded by family.

I'm sure we've all heard this before, and probably have said it before too.  Never take those you love for granted.  Take that extra time to make a phone call, stop by for coffee and cookies, make dinner plans, send notes through the mail, email, text.  Its more than worth it.

Thank you to those loves that emailed, called, text, FB'd, instagrammed and tagged me in Pinterest pics.  It meant a lot to me during this difficult time.

xo.  Patience
