Tuesday at home

Some days it literally feels like a circus around these parts.  So when it came time to decide on a theme for Kage's 3rd birthday, combined with his love of animals and games, creating a mini circus was the best option.

Kage's Nana made the caramel apples, cotton candy cones, and cake pops+cake.  Along with help from an aunt and uncle.  He is one lucky guy, everything was a labor of love.{they have burns to prove it}

His auntie Auggie made his sign for the door, loving how it turned out.  I made the creepy "clown" veggie tray, I swear it looked cuter on pinterest....dang it.

No circus is complete with out being completely sugared up.  We also had popcorn and hot dogs.

 

We almost passed on a bounce house, thank goodness they could jump to their little hearts content.  Between that and swimming for hours, our gaggle was out for the count.

 

For those of you with eagle eyes, yes, we finally painted our walls...no more greige, full on light gray/white.

Scenes from our weekend...

Our weekend was the jam. It was packed with fun activities and celebrations.

Our baby turned 3. We celebrated with his first soccer practice and a circus themed birthday party {more pics to follow in the next few days, when I actually recover}. 

According to JB, he's the best kid out there and the youngest. So humble, I know. Shockingly, he was pretty good at  shooting and kicking. 

After a packed Saturday, it was really nice to keep it low key and celebrate all JB does for us. We spent a ton of family time together, finished up with the Dark knight rises, and burgers from Five guys. I didn't even have to cook. 

We consider ourselves pretty lucky for that guy. 

And what weekend is complete with out sneaking off to Homegoods?  Can you guess which of these I came home with?

Scenes from our week{end}

After 10 days of vacay with JB, sadly he returned to work this morning. Thankfully we were able to make the most of that time with a trip to San Diego, tons of pool time and a trip to our local zoo. If you thought after seaworld, we'd be all animal'd out, you thought wrong. We also managed to finish painting our eat in kitchen and the entry way...only a few months in the making, but who's counting? I promise I'll share some pics of those updates soon.  

I'll try to not bore you with a thousand pics. Here's some favs. 

In other news, Tina shared yet another sneak peek....I can't take it. That little just melts my heart. 

Lastly, before I go play outside with the kids....

I promised myself I wouldn't make fun of Kim K....but a girlfriend sent this to me...I'm beyond disturbed. Don't get me wrong, I think everyone is being so mean to her throughout her whole pregnancy, but come on, Kim, don't give them ammo. You're too gorgeous for all that. I totally remember my feet swelling to extremes with my last baby...it was the worst and super uncomfortable. Just. Stop.

Coveting...

Before we get down to my Veruca Salt list of wants, I thought I'd give you a sneak peek of our family photos....Tina snapped these last night, and by some miracle already had 2 ready to share {after flying home to WA, from AZ, she's obvi Wonder Woman!}

She somehow manages to help my family come alive in front of a camera. Even Kage, who plays hard to get with anyone but JB and I. Desperately wishing she would move to AZ and take family photos almost monthly. I feel like maybe that would help slow my kiddos growing, at the risk of sound cliche, it's all going way too fast. Ugh. We're trying to just enjoy every free second with them. 

I got through phases, prob like most of you lovely gals. Sometimes there is no end in sight to things I'm drooling over, and other times, I can't seem to find one thing I can't live without. This is not one of those times. I have a hardcore case of the gimme's. In fact, I prob could change the whole idea of this blog by posting daily things I would love to have on my body, in my home, yard or vacays. It's bad. 

First up....

 

this Samudra Rocky Point Pouch is a must have.  After coming back from San Diego....I'm dying for a little beach in my daily life.  Not to mention, whilst packing for said vacay, I realized none of my makeup/toiletries bags are even close to large enough.  This one fits the bill.  I also want the Samudra Coco Palms Pouch and Samudra Flamingos Pouch, cause a girl can never have enough.

 

After lugging around Sea World my rather large bag, I was kicking myself for not snagging this Rebecca Minkoff 'Craig' Crossbody Camera Bag.  What was I thinking?  Perfect size for the neccessities and chasing after my gaggle.

the mondays

Let me just start by saying....we finished up the last 2 projects this weekend with our bigs!!  Beyond excited. One being this fab float of Minnesota. 

 

The other being on PowerPoint. But I'll share this pic from the wax museum. 

She was so excited and knew her speech like the back of her hand. 

With 4 days left of school, this mama couldn't be more excited. You'd think I was graduation high school, won the Super Bowl or a great find at home goods. 

In other news, the yardsale went pretty well, I haven't had one since I was prob 18/19. Mimosas def made the experience more enjoyable. 

Well that and our sons being sign spinners to draw attention. 

I knew that Halloween mask would come in handy. 

Lastly, Sara from a dose of pretty is working on some design goodness for me. She is the sweetest ever and I'm so excited for the big reveal!  Lets hope I'm not too annoying with my little tweaks here and there.

Tuesday at my home

Whilst I should be preparing for our yard sale this weekend {boring}, I've decided to have some fun on my new app A Beautiful Mess. Have you heard of it? Which is your favorite enhancement?

Here are a few of mine...literally could be on it all day. 

It has been project central around these parts. Thank goodness 2 of our bigs are done and the last only has a few more finishing touches. No one told me how hard it would be school wise having 3 kids in back to back grades. Beyond grateful they are all smart and pretty dang creative. 

Ok, back to work....If I wasn't attempting to fund a re-upholstery job, I would just put everything out with a free sign.  dang it.

Mama's werk it

I almost don't even know where to begin. Being a mama is the most amazing thing I've ever been a part of. It's also the most challenging. We have the best time together. And sometimes the not so good times, you can find me hiding in the pantry eating a cake pop.

But I wouldn't change things for the world. Yesterday was truly the best Mother's Day I've had to date. It was filled with quality time, good food, pedicures, a little shopping and pool time.

I couldn't possibly me more grateful for all the ups and even the downs (they remind us to appreciate the best of times). On that note, I better get back to helping the big kids with their end of the year overwhelmingly huge projects.  9 days till schools out!!  10 days till seaworld and the beach!!!

Special thanks to JB for making our day so special. He even stayed up after we all were in bed to clean the kitchen, vacuum and mop. What a good guy!!  {Single ladies, take note on qualities of a good husband}
