Dressertastic!!!

Now that I have my new headboard....I'm starting to brainstorm ideas on repurposing my dressers....right now, I have 2 Malm dressers from Ikea that look like this:

So what did I do?  I googled some pics of course and came across this fantastic redo!!!  Now I just have to talk Joshy Bobby into letting me do something similar to ours.....once our office/MP room is complete that is.  :)  Or they might just find themselves on CL....and the hunt will begin for something else.

Yahtzee!!! Royal headboard love!!!!

You may remember my countless posts obsessing literally about bedrooms....(you can find some of them here)....so I thought to myself...why not add just one more, but this time with a little progress!!!

Here are some of the headboards that have caught my eye (I had to edit quite a few...because who actually needs to see 37 in 1 post?), but I just wanted to show somewhat of my process on how the one I have now came to be.  Its been a long journey, and fortunately, my bff Cerita, came across a headboard I've been dreaming about!!!

I love the clean lines, nail heads (?), and pattern of the first one.  And Obviously, I need to join some kind of anonymous club for my addiction to things being painted white, so only natural I fell hard for the second bed.

Joshy Bobby brought home this beauty on Tuesday....Happy early Mother's day to me!!!  Other than cleaning the mustard velvet, this gorgeous headboard is good to go....now if I could just come up with a name......Queen Elizabeth maybe?

Thank goodness we already had buyers for our not so old platform bed.  Horrible pic, I know...but I had to snap just one more before he was dismantled.
I'll miss Harry, but he found a fabulous new home.  (Obv Josh wasn't going for my idea of storing it in the garage and rotate beds every few years, what can I say, I like to switch things up.)

I can't wait to get things under way, however I have to finish these ladies for the office/mp room first.

I'm thinking: sand + paint + new hardware.

Anyone want to come help sand?

Sweet finds!!!!

50% off day at GW....don't mind if I do!!!

I have big plans for these in our master redo.....evidently I can't stop even though I have a huge do to list before I can start on it....unless I move the bedroom to the top!

Can't believe I found these!!!

Yes, I'm serious....I found these beauties on CL while randomly trolling for treasures  I was posting our platform bed.

You just might remember me mentioning a bedroom redo here, here and here, evidently I can't commit to one room at a time, but I had decided to hold back until we finished the kitchen and office aka multipurpose room.  When I came across these, there was no way I could just ignore seeing them all together.  Thank god Josh said yes!!!

Now that they are in my overly ecstatic claws...I just have to decide on a color....thinking white or maybe aqua.....thoughts?  Btw, that is like a fake marble thing on top, I'm thinking it should be ripped out and replace with a mirror....or painted silver?

Ok, now back to finish some other projects so I can finally start on the master!!!!

Patience

P.S.  here is a snap shot of the to-do (in no particular order) list before I can actually move on...darn

Office:
paint
build and paint shelving (lots of shelving)
unpack books and shelving items
find perfect lamp
rip out carpet/install wood flooring

kitchen:
touch up paint
finish putting knobs on
decide on counter tops
order/install counter tops
add mouldings
back splash
find amazing pantry door

living room:
install wood flooring
mount tv on wall
hang ceramic animal heads
move around furniture
new lamps

foyer:
take old picture frames down
take shelf down
move abnormally large and heaving mirror upstairs
move buffet in
find and organize a million frames and pics for putting up
maybe paint?

I'm going to stop myself there....its already a little intimidating, but always a barrel of monkeys, which I obviously enjoy.
