Tuesday at my home.....master in progress

The last few weekends we've been super busy on house projects....thankfully we've crossed quite a few items off our list {YAY!!!}.  In honor of Roomsperation.....I thought we could reveal our master bedroom in its current state, there are still about 20 things I still want to do, including pillows and a bench redo, but who's counting?  I know the pics suck....I blame the iPhone...it can't possibly be operator error.  (sarcasm needs its own font)

I still need to either find an {&} or a {+} sign to put in between the J and P.  Seriously obsessed with the paintings I found at GW of the girl and boy.  Not to mention at $6 total for both....super proud of that find.

You probably remember me mentioning this dresser had been in every room but mine....well, I just sold our ugly ikea malm dressers....and look what I replaced it with?  The dresser from our foyer.

Found this and several other silver trays at this sweet estate sale when I still lived in WA. 

One of my girlfriends gave me this desk....glammed it up with some meadow green spray paint.  B T dub, this is the space I am dying to put 1 or 4 venetian mirrors.

Thats about it for now.  I have this fab bench that needs a lot of work.....broken legs, begging to be reupholstered, etc.  I also plan on making some burlap pillows with disgustingly cute sayings on them i.e.:

Let's spoon

You get the idea, cute right?  I thought so.

Dressertastic!!!

Now that I have my new headboard....I'm starting to brainstorm ideas on repurposing my dressers....right now, I have 2 Malm dressers from Ikea that look like this:



So what did I do?  I googled some pics of course and came across this fantastic redo!!!  Now I just have to talk Joshy Bobby into letting me do something similar to ours.....once our office/MP room is complete that is.  :)  Or they might just find themselves on CL....and the hunt will begin for something else.

Yahtzee!!! Royal headboard love!!!!

You may remember my countless posts obsessing literally about bedrooms....(you can find some of them here)....so I thought to myself...why not add just one more, but this time with a little progress!!!

Here are some of the headboards that have caught my eye (I had to edit quite a few...because who actually needs to see 37 in 1 post?), but I just wanted to show somewhat of my process on how the one I have now came to be.  Its been a long journey, and fortunately, my bff Cerita, came across a headboard I've been dreaming about!!!

I love the clean lines, nail heads (?), and pattern of the first one.  And Obviously, I need to join some kind of anonymous club for my addiction to things being painted white, so only natural I fell hard for the second bed.

Joshy Bobby brought home this beauty on Tuesday....Happy early Mother's day to me!!!  Other than cleaning the mustard velvet, this gorgeous headboard is good to go....now if I could just come up with a name......Queen Elizabeth maybe?

Thank goodness we already had buyers for our not so old platform bed.  Horrible pic, I know...but I had to snap just one more before he was dismantled.

I'll miss Harry, but he found a fabulous new home.  (Obv Josh wasn't going for my idea of storing it in the garage and rotate beds every few years, what can I say, I like to switch things up.)

I can't wait to get things under way, however I have to finish these ladies for the office/mp room first.

I'm thinking: sand + paint + new hardware.

Anyone want to come help sand?
