I am seriously considering adding trim just like this to our freshly painted cabinets...I'm not sure where this pic came from as a girlfriend sent it to me, but I love it! And the price tag on trim is mighty enticing as well! Sounds like a trip to Home Depot may be in order this weekend!

I think I would go for it. I love having them different. The bottom being darker is a perfect anchor for the kitchen. I'm still amazed I somehow received a pic of your kitchen and had no idea! It's a small world. Let me know what you decide on your cabinets and I look forward to seeing pics!
