Tuesday at my home....

Last week Clementine and Olive "revealed" my living room.  I'm a little overwhelmed by all the love, completely humbled by the sweet comments and thought to myself....maybe its time to share some more pics....even though I don't feel like it's ready.  What can I say, you guys, um, gave me the courage I needed.  So with out further ado...here is where we spend most of our time (other than the kitchen/dining table).

I feel as though things are finally coming together, but there still happens to be a to-do list....and somehow it continues to grow longer.  Such as I'm dying to do something with our side chairs....paint the fabric and wood?  Reupholster?  Can't decide.  I also desperately need to find a throw rug that doesn't cost $600 (with our kiddos and doggies, its just not realistic).  I'm even entertaining the idea of painting the walls....however, with our open floor plan, I would be required to also paint the dining room and kitchen.  I really want to find a fabulous shelf....brass or another metal with glass shelves.  I'm truly obsessed with how much glamour they can bring to a space, plus perfect for all kinds of treasure and book displaying.

Yay!!! My first feature!!

Hey there!   So, I'm somewhat new to the blogging world....or maybe not so new, it has almost been a year since starting this diary.  Anyhooo, super excited that Erin from Clementine and Olive actually wanted to see pics of my living room {cause she seriously has amazing taste, no joke.  I want to steal her whole living room}....something I hadn't really put out there yet, as I still feel like its not "done".  But who am I kidding, it will never be "done".  So head on over to Clementine and Olive to check it out!!!

Sometimes you hit the jack pot.....

While picking up some milk at Fry's....I happened to notice these babies....at $4.99...these were in the cart before blinking twice....minesies.

Thank god we were able to swing by West Elm after checking out a wedding venue....(super gorg btw), cause I've been desperately needing these cups for ever.  (see?)  I'm instantly regretting not purchasing more.

I also came across this perfect pillow....which I had to have since my sofa desperately needed something fresh.

Not done yet, but a vast improvement.  Little does Joshy Bobby know I plan on stalking Etsy to add 2 more.  Or maybe one of these?

Kagey's room 1 year later....

Yes, I'll be the first to admit it....it took me a year to somewhat "finish" Kage's room.....not that I want to make excuses for it...but some of you may know already that his room started out as a loft and was literally finished being built (walls, paint, closet, etc) a mere 10 days before his arrival...hows that for procrastination?

Here is what it started out as before we moved in:

And somehow I either didn't take pics or can't locate them at this time....how does that happen?  So all I have are these...

Meanwhile I was looking like this....just 15 days before Kage's arrival.  That hottie next to me is Josh's cousin.  (due just a week apart)

And then Joshy's fab cousins helped put the crib together...

After just 8 short weeks and 3 calls later, my ceramic animal dreams are coming true!!!

Yes, I am a dork, I know.  You probably remember reading about my master plan here, I haven't quite decided on the layout above the fireplace as of yet, and I'm also thinking I need a few more to give it balance.  But believe me, you will be the first to know other than Josh and our children when they are up.
