Tuesday at my home...

We purchased these west elm lamps {on sale} almost a month ago...and somehow just got around to setting them up...it couldn't possibly be due to the fact I needed to paint the end tables, could it?  And you know I couldn't add them to the before, it would just ruin it, I had to wait till they were glammed up a bit.

Much better, right?

This is Kage's favorite napping spot at the moment.  I promise I usually make my bed, but with him sleeping, this was a rare opportunity to snap a few photos to share of our little changes.

Tuesday at my home...

There have been some small updates in our entry way.....thought it was about time to share those.  Especially since we finally have an amazing camera (to us).  Please tell me you are way impressed with the picture quality, compared to my embarrassing iPhone pics.  Or at least make me feel better and say they are....mmmkay?

Since Joshy Bobby and I suck have a hard time locating keys, these fab clearanced hooks from Anthro were a no brainer in my book.

Spotted this GW mirror for 25 cents....yahtzee!

I also added 2 mirrors all the way to the left (long skinny rectangle and top chunkier rectangle, fab description, right?)

The old dresser ended up finding its way into our eldest sons room, which leaves only 3 rooms in the house it hasn't lived in yet.  It was replaced with this fab textured 4 drawer console type thing from ZGallerie (that we've had forever).

I love how this turned out....but, sometimes I feel like the left side belongs in a bathroom.  Thoughts?

We scooped up these lockers prob almost a year ago....couldn't decide if I should paint them or leave them as is, so a few months ago, we decided to just try them out.  So far, they are so ridiculously useful for our 3 school age kids, I'm kicking myself for not moving them in immegiately.

Tuesday at my home....bar heaven

The weekend before heading to WA....I was making my usual rounds at GW (50% off day, my fav) and came across the holy grail of bar carts. I kid you not, I've been searching for around a year. After checking it out...I notice it's only $12, yes!!! I immediately drag it to the register, pay and safely put it in the Navi, before continuing shopping....dead serious. Sounds crazy, but I've seen people lose items to other buyers (not classy), just by leaving it by the register. I've been on cloud 9 ever since. You can prob tell by the 700 pics of it. Ha ha. I sprayed it gold of course, check out the before and after below.

Tuesday at my home...

So, over the weekend...I got the itch to finally up cycle the end tables and lamps I had collected for our family room.  Its been a long time coming.

This is how they started....brown...boring.....blah.  The 3 b's.  YIKES!  Or in the lamps case, a funky green...that I somehow had actually grown attached to.  I must remember to not wait so long next time, I blame it on being used to them looking like the 70s....so it was comfortable.

I sprayed the end tables with bonding primer (after sanding of course...which is my least fav...), heirloom white, and gloss protectant.  Updated the hard ware with a fresh coat of gold.  The lamps were sprayed glossy black with gold.

Seriously addicted to stacking books.  Its like crack for me.

Tuesday at my home....before & after

A while back one of my fabulous girlfriends gave me this gorgeous provincial desk. 

Amazing friend, right?  I must say, I squealed with joy....as I had been wanting to find a desk to use as a dressing table in our bedroom.  It needed a little loving, and I was just the girl to do it.  With some sanding, bonding primer, and a few coats of meadow green....its loving its new home in our boudior.

I apologize for the styling....I still need to pick up a fabulous mirror (maybe a gorg venetian), pick up a few other trinkets, and hang that fab little jewelry organizer.  So far, so good though!
